Sketchbook Entry 142 - January 24

Took a trip with my wife to Maui a fe weeks back. This was the first of many sketches, actually on the plane at  6am. I was looking forward to mindless sketching throughout the trip. I'm building on shapes that I have worked with in the past few years such as lotus flowers, scrolls and decorative elements.

Picked up the Recycled Sketch paper and felt my most comfortable was with ballpoint. I love to see the scratchy line and concept develop and show the lights and darks. Kind of a contrast to my t-shirt art which is also detailed but moreso set up for a screen printing. This was refreshing.
